He is also characterizing fullerene nano synzymes (synthetic enzymes) for their catalytic superoxide dismutase activities, and is carrying out molecular modeling of the interaction of fullerene derivatives with glutamate receptors.
Moreover, Dr. Ali is interested in the development of optical and spin probes for oxygen and superoxide imaging and in the technology of electrochemical nanobiosensors for subcellular detection of superoxide and hydrogen peroxide as well.
